What size of roof box can I hire?
When you book with us we will always supply you with the roof box that is the right size to safely fit your vehicle and give you the maximum storage space.
Is Roof bar Hire Included with the roof box?
Unless you specify that you have your own bars we will supply the roof bars with the box.
How much weight can a roof box hold?
Our 400 Litre boxes can hold up to 50kgs, however this is dependant on your vehicle type and may be less.
You should consult your vehicle handbook or manufacture for the safe loading limits of your vehicle. Our fitting team will give you advice at the time of fitting.
Can you fit bike racks and a roof box to my vehicle?
We can often fit one or two big rack with a roof box. This is dependant on your vehicle type we will advise you at the time of booking.
Do I have to travel to you to have roof boxes and bike racks fitted?
No, We come to you at your home or work to fit at a time to suit you, then at the end of the hire we come and collect.
How much extra height does a roof box add to my vehicle?
Typically a when you hire a roof box and bars from us you will add around 50 cm to your vehicle height. Our fitters will advise at the time of fitting.
Are there any speed restrictions when driving with a roof box?
The maximum speed for our equipment is rated at maximum of 80mph in accordance with local driving regulations however if its is windy then slower speeds must be adhered to.
Is the roof box and bars secure on the vehicle?
Roof bars and roof box have independent locks for security.
Can you load the roof box from both sides.?
Our roof boxes open on both sides to make loading easier and safer.
Is it Ok to go on a ferry or the Eurostar with a roof box?
You should check when you book your crossing, most companies will allow you to select a vehicle with a roof box at the time of booking.
What is the best way to load a roof box?
Roof boxers are very versatile. Where possible, you should always be able to secure heavier items in the car boot.
We will provide you with hold-down straps to secure the load inside the roof box, and our fitters will discuss this with you and give you advice at the time of fitting.
What happens if our return dates changes due to unforeseen circumstances?
Just give us a call or email and we will reschedule your collection time we can be flexible.
How many bike racks can you fit on the roof?
We can generally fit 3 to 4 bike racks onto your vehicle. We will advise at the time of booking.
Can you fit a bike rack to my Roof?
Yes we can normally fit four bikes to your roof, subject to the size of your vehicle
Can you fit a bike rack to my tow bar?
We can fit a three or 4 bike carrier to your tow ball, you will need to obtain a number plate for the bike carrier we can assist with this and will advise at the time of booking.
